ARCOBALENO SOMMERSO two

Acrylic on canvas, 80x60 cm. Do you know the Rainbow Mountains? There is an enchanted place near Cusco in Perù. This is my abstract version of what these wonders of nature looked like before they emerged, if you close your eyes you can see them exactly. I used the scratched technique which consists of painting the canvas with multiple layers of acrylic and then using metal spatulas to bring out the color underneath on the surface. Submerged Rainbow is also a painting that I painted at the end of a dark moment in my life, so by analyzing the abstraction (which is divided into two paintings) after years I can say that the subject of the painting reflected my moment in life, something wonderful was emerging.
